We bring you the best of the ongoing India International Jewellery Week 2012 so far -- don't miss it!
The nation's biggest jewellery event is currently underway at a posh suburban hotel in Mumbai and it's quite a starry affair.
No, we don't just mean the diamonds shimmering on the runway -- it's also the celebrity presence of Bollywood actors and supermodels that have turned out in full force.
In the following pages, we bring you the action from the first two days of the IIJW.
The showings were commenced on August 19 with an inauguration by Sonam Kapoor and Hema Malini. While the younger fashionista looked like a million dollars in a strapless green gown and mesh diamond necklace, B-Town's original Dream Girl was the very picture of grace in a simple pink drape and tasteful, understated jewellery.
Here we see actors Tusshar Kapoor and Raima Sen for Gitanjali Gems in association with the BETI foundation.
This showing saw a staggering 75 movie and TV personalities take to the ramp decked out in ensembles by renowned couturier Vikram Phadnis and Gitanjali's fine line of jewellery -- they were all there to express solidarity against atrocities like female foeticide, acid attacks and women's illiteracy.
Mother and son duo Vivek and Yashodhara Oberoi also put in a joint appearance for Gitanjali.
Sameer Soni and Neelam Kothari looked quite the charming couple in their formal best.
Former Miss India and actress Sayali Bhagat and her mother modelled splendid ethnicwear and jewellery together.
Looking cool in shades, Zayed Khan stepped out in a spotted sherwani.
Manasi Roy wore an eye-popping polki necklace as proud husband Rohit escorted her onto the runway.
Singer Sonu Nigam serenaded wife Madhurima before they both posed together for the cameras.
Supermodel Candice Pinto strikes a pose in splendid diamonds and rubies from Eekani Jewels.
Rachel Bayros showstops for Eekani in a scallop-edged choker and matching earrings.
Laxmi Jewellery displayed a distinctly bridal collection, as is apparent from Kavita Kharayat's ensemble and luxurious accessories.
Dripping polkis and pearls, Alesia Raut strikes a pose for Laxmi in a jaw-dropping neckpiece and chandelier danglers.
Mugdha Godse went back to her modelling roots as showstopper for Dwarkadas Chandumal in a diamond and ruby set that looked like it belonged to royalty.
It was a surprise to see Abhay Deol step out for Amrapali Jewels, but then we noticed his ethnic brooch -- guess Indian men will always like a bit of bling too!
Abhay was followed out by the stunning Nargis Fakhri, who looked quite the siren in a gold fringed corset and emeralds galore.
Kingfisher bikini babe Angela Jonsson was Gehna Jewellers' muse, showing off a beautiful uncut diamond set complete with matching tiara.
Dynamic International put a breathtaking array of floral pieces on display, as seen here on Binal Trivedi.
Not all the jewellery on display was about making an extravagant statement -- take a look at this tasteful pearl and emerald set modelled by Sucheta Sharma for Ganjam.
There were also contemporary pieces seen at the IIJW, like this colorful pendant and cocktail rings from Tanvi Garg, as seen on Pia Trivedi.
Looking like an Indian princess, Sonal Chauhan showstopped for Dipti Amisha in a many-stranded necklace and huge chandelier earrings.
Anchal Kumar, Surelee Joseph and Kavita Kharayat provide an assorted sampling of designs by GIA.
A vision of opulent evening elegance, Deepti Gujral strikes a pose for Jewels by Preeti.
Jewels by Preeti also featured a male showstopper -- the charming Ayushmann Khurrana stepped out in a dapper sherwani set off by a jewelled brooch.
Traditional jewellery came to the fore once more with the Golecha showing, complemented by gorgeous ethnicwear.
Their showstopper was the pretty Dia Mirza, the sparkle in her eyes as bright as on her neck.
Yet another blushing catwalk bride, Amrita Rao donned Agni Jewels' piece de resistance -- a filigree necklace showing off the hues of diamonds, sapphires and emeralds.
Gold, diamonds and precious green stones are seen here from the Anmol Jewellers collection.
Russian model and B-Town hopeful Kristina Akheeva did the honours for Anmol, wearing a ruby floral pendant and diamond necklace, as well as a cocktail ring and wrist cuff.
Surelee Joseph models a classic diamond set from Jaipur Jewellery in a low-cut black coktail.
And finally, we see actress and former beauty queen Simran Kaur Mundi strut her stuff for Jaipur, in mind-bogglingly large polkis.
