Here's what Shahab Durazi offered up on the final day of HDIL India Couture Week in Mumbai.
Eveningwear inspired by the '40s and '50s and old-world silver screen appeal characterised Shahab Durazi's collection, showcased at the HDIL India Couture Week on October 10.
The veteran designer returned to the ramp after a hiatus of five years and fashionistas were full of expectations that were more than met with his Western eveningwear line.
To top things off, Durazi got Arjun Rampal to model the showstopper. Take a look at how it all went down.
Carol Gracias was one of the first on the ramp in this layered, fringed and feathered affair that has a rather sophisticated appeal.
Next we have Tupur Chatterjee in a glimmering striped corset with a satin bow adorning one shoulder.
Tupur's twin sister Tapur was a vision in this red one-sided gown -- very diva-like!
A glimmering, ribbed top modelled by Tinu Varghese moves into high-waisted palazzo pants and is topped off with a jacket and scarf.
Black cutwork at the neck and a flouncing feathered belt add opulence to this wispy black ensemble.
The designer plays around with satin bows and overlays to give this one-sided cocktail a gift-wrapped appearance.
We see a repeat of the previous theme, this time in pretty pink, with a ribbed and sheer lace corset bodice.
Arjun Rampal takes to the ramp in a classy tuxedo, complete with sparkling cummerbund.
Durazi walks the walk at the end of his much-anticipated -- and appreciated -- showing.
