Presenting high-end fashion and starry showstoppers from designers on days three and four of Delhi Couture Week!
The third and fourth days of Delhi Couture Week saw the handiwork of celebrated Indian designers such as Shantanu & Nikhil, Manish Malhotra and Rohit Bal take to the ramp in a flurry of stylish showings.
And of course, the celebrity quotient elevated profiles considerably!
Here, we bring you the most lensworthy catwalk moments.
We start off with the talent of Adarsh Gill, captured in an orange draped full-length number modelled by Bhawna Sharma.
Next we have this slinky two-tone blue gown with a crystal-embellished bodice.
The designer ups the ante with this beautiful scallop-edged silver lace sari.
This heavily-worked red bridal showstopper is the ideal finale to Gill's showing. Which bride wouldn't feel like a princess in that!
Designer duo Ashima-Leena started off with this eye-catching silk salwar kameez.
The jacket-sari combo is really trending and the contrasting tones here set off the outfit.
Pia Trivedi plays the demure to-be bride in this attractive lehenga.
Yesteryears actress and Begum of Pataudi Sharmila Tagore was as graceful as ever, bringing a regal presence to the ramp and setting off her ethnic number becomingly.
Talented twosome Shantanu & Nikhil didn't disappoint -- their flamboyant flair was at its best with designs such as this yellow-brown ghagara choli.
Michelle Innes looked lovely in this powder-blue lehenga with floral embroidery.
Pleats, layers and plenty of tulle came together perfectly to make this dramatic statement.
For the bold fashionista, this bold orange ensemble with sparkling silver embroidery is just the thing.
Shantanu and Nikhil's creamy showstopping creation was carried off perfectly by Sonakshi Sinha, who seems to be in love with the catwalk!
His distinct designs can be identified from a mile away, but we're glad we got to see Manish Malhotra's stunners, like this classic sari, up close.
Surelee Joseph did justice to this rich mix of fabric, colour and tasteful embroidery.
The sight of Sanea Shaikh twirling in this fantabulous ensemble is enough to have anyone stop in their tracks!
The designer pales his palette with this ethereal creamy lehenga and sexy choli.
Look closer. With her stauesque frame and sharp features, she's such a dead-ringer for a professional model that you may almost miss Sonam Kapoor while taking in that fantastic showstopping design!
Gaurav Gupta sought to mesmerise with a burst of creativity and he didn't disappoint -- check out this silver-kissed lace bodysuit.
It's not often that you see a lehenga completely devoid of any embellishment, but this one worn by Candice Pinto has a striking effect all the same.
What you're seeing here is actually a skirt that moves into sari-like pleats at the bottom, while the see-through choli is toned down with part of the dupatta strategically stitched on!
Gupta switches to a bolder hue with this voluminous lime number adorned with ruffles on one shoulder.
And here we have a yellow red-carpet special with fishtail silhouette -- like the rest of the designer's collection, it blends Eastern and Western influences.
Rohit Bal's line kicked off with drama straight away -- we love this burnished gold and white plunging gown.
This daring blouse is nothing more than strings of gold coming together in a barely-there pattern! The floral skirt, on the other hand, shows off abundant threadwork.
Another heavily worked floor-sweeper is set off with a sheer cutwork top. How amazing does it look!
Things only seem to get more opulent with this jaw-dropping outfit modelled by Tinu Verghese.
Golden letters etched on a shirt, if Bal has anything to do with it! Arjun Rampal seems to be enjoying the moment.
