Fashion falls short: Celeb wardrobe malfunctions!

Cutting-edge styles often mean you're also on the edge of over-exposing -- and that's just what happens to a lot of glamorous fashionistas!

Jennifer Lopez made headlines this weekend when she appeared on the Summer Edition of German TV show Wetten dass..? in Palma de Mallorca, Spain.

The 42-year-old singer-actress gave her hosts and the cameras an eyeful when she bent over to adjust her flowing Lanvin dress before seating herself.

JLo's dress was certainly not very revealing, but the breeze played mischief with her skirt and when she tried to bend over and bring it under control, she ended up exposing a lot more.

Definitely the wrong day -- and wrong outfit -- to skip innerwear!

While the lovely Latino mother-of-two may be left blushing, however, she's not the only one whose style choices have let her down in front of a lens.

Last month, our lovely B-Town couture queen nearly suffered the same fate as JLo in this Vivienne Westwood gown at Cannes.

Looks harmless enough, doesn't it? But it has just the one sleeve and the other side is held up by -- err -- will power. And Sonam didn't seem to have enough of it to hold up, with the neck going dangerously low as she pouted with red lips for the cameras! Fortunately, it was caught up and readjusted in the nick of time.

There's very little we haven't seen of Lady Gaga already, but the eccentric popster managed to give us an even bigger peek than usual earlier this month, at the 2011 CFDA Fashion Awards in New York.

Gaga opted for a Thierry Mugler outfit with a corset so tight and so low that she accidentally flashed the cameras on the red carpet. Not that it seemed to bother her, because the 25-year-old then stripped off the whole outfit for the afterparty and boogied away on the dancefloor in nothing but a thong and sheer bodysuit!

Madame M may not be as risque as Gaga, but she's definitely a lot bolder than her Indian contemporaries.

In April this year, she was honoured in the US by milkshake chain Millions of Milkshakes and got a milkshake named after her.

You'd think this kind of affair warranted jeans and a tee, but then it's Mallika, so she showed up in a sequined bikini and lehenga-like skirt slit to her hip. No wonder she revealed so much flesh while stepping out of her car and had to cover up her cleavage!

She's definitely a young style icon, but Emma Watson has seen her share of red carpet upsets.

Her first 'oops' moment was at the premiere of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince in London back in July 2009, when her free-flowing vintage Ozzi Clark dress opened up to reveal her underwear -- thank heaven she was wearing one!

In the young actress' defence, however, it was really windy and the rain was pouring hard, so it's unfortunate her front-fastening number billowed open.

The always impeccably-turned-out Kat usually doesn't have a hair out of place. But it looks like the situation at the Indian Music Awards in Mumbai this March 'slipped' out of her control!

Kat was dancing vigorously to her superhit song Sheila Ki Jawani in tight black leather pants and a red corset when one of her straps came off and she ended up showing a lot more skin than intended. Luckily for her, it didn't give way completely.

The petite Heroes star is always a vision, but unfortunately, at the Golden Globes post-party in January, the camera flashes all around created x-ray vision!

Hayden was sans innerwear and using only pasties to preserve her modesty, but they stood out brightly in all her photographs. On the upside, it could have been worse if she was without them!

The newly-minted Mrs Bhupathi has probably burned this gown to ashes after the embarrassment it caused her at the IIFA Awards in Colombo last year!

While she was signing autographs, she popped out of the much-too-tight bodice and gave fans and the photographers present an eyefull. This time around, we're sure Lara will choose her outfit with a lot of care -- and hopefully it'll be the right size!

Maybe Angelina's doppelganger should learn how to handle herself with grace from the A-lister!

Megan has had quite a few slip-ups and this one in a low-necked mini was no surprise at the 2009 Teen Choice Awards in Universal City, California. The former Transformers star struggled to keep her skirt down and showed way too much cleavage as minders helped her with her dress in the press room.

The Czech beauty created an uproar across the country last November when she was captured on camera without underwear -- at a children's charity event, to boot!

While she shrugged it off as no big deal, we're still recovering...and it looks set to happen all over again, judging by Yana's hemlines of late. Hopefully she's no longer going commando!

Sigh. It's rare for a day to pass by without this wildchild making headlines and it's usually because she can't get her clothes on right.

Lindsay has inadvertently bared her bod so many times, she may as well pose for Playboy -- this is one of the tamer instances, captured at the MTV Movie Awards in 2008, when the wind caught her offguard.

Here's one that came as a shocker! The demure Ash managed a fashion faux pas in a sari at the premiere of Raavan in April last year.

How? Her choli was much too short and the sari fabric way too sheer -- she managed to give everyone a bit of a peek at more skin than intended.

In January 2008, Fergie was performing in Wellington, New Zealand in front of a crowd of thousands -- with her fly undone.

It's a good thing she didn't bend her knees! She only noticed after her whole set was done and ran offstage to sort herself out. Close call!

And finally, we have model Amrit Maghera in this pop tart number by designer Suneet Verma on the ramp in March 2010. This was shortly before the hottie burst into an energetic choreographed dance routine and her strap snapped!

Luckily, she managed to grab a hold of it before it fell completely open. But then wardrobe malfunctions go with the territory when you're in the fashion business!
