It's that time of year again -- in the first of a two-part series we bring you the best off the runway from the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim 2013!
As one of the world's biggest fashion dos winds down in Miami today, here's a look at the latest in swimwear from the biggest names in the business.
For the last five days since July 19, tanned and toned catwalk queens have been strutting their stuff at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim 2013 for brands like Luli Fama, Agua Bendita and Poko Pano, among others. Here's a look at the best of runway images from Day One through Day Three!
We start off with this stunning Lisa Blue monokini with brown belted detailing -- talk about white hot!
Next we have a dash of blue added on by the designer to this fabulous creation.
Karina Smirnoff of Dancing with the Stars fame put her dancer's figure on display for Lisa Blue's showstopper, a Spanish ruffle-style bikini and wrap skirt.
Mix and match was the order of the day at the Agua Bendita showing, like on this itsy bitsy string bikini.
The monokinis were particularly bold, like this plunging printed piece.
Agua Bendita also upped the ante with a few trendy touches, like this embroidered sequin bolero.
The swimwear designs from Poko Pano were far less busy in comparison -- get a load of this striped string bottom and palm-printed top.
Seen here is a geometric bandeau and solid black bikini briefs combo -- black and white at its best.
Solid turquoise and a wavy print offer another refreshing contrast on the ramp.
From Dolores Cortes, we have here a wide-mesh monokini in rich purple.
Moving to a more mixed mood, she offers up a yellow two-piece with a becoming splash of colours added on.
Pretty pinks, blues and greens come together on this etheral dyed ensemble, with a sheer half-skirt emerging from the bikini top.
Vitamin A showcased a lot of tasselled two-pieces, like this sexy blue and rust combination.
Some of the creations were also heavily accessorised -- the gold detailing, neckpiece and earrings add a unique touch to this pale printed design.
With its subtle glimmer, this silver-grey tie-up is sure to have heads turning by the pool or at the beach!
With colour-blocking acquiring the popularity that it has in the fashion world, Nicolita cashed in on the trend -- this stone-embellished cut-away is an 'it' item for sure.
Next we have a black one-piece with cut-out panels -- rather classic, but a quirky edge is added with the leopard-print ruffles.
For those who prefer a little bling, this pale gold textured creation is the perfect acquisition.
Caffe Swimwear upped the ante with some stunning monotone designs, like this hot red strapless bikini.
They also hopped onto the mix-and-match bandwagon like several other Miami FW designers -- this white buckled top and printed aqua bottoms come together to create a head-turning look.
Caffe Swimwear continued with the same theme for several other pieces, like this blue bandeau and floral briefs.
Aqua Di Lara used muted neutral shades to stand out from the crowd of colour on the runway -- this amazing swimsuit was the cynosure of all eyes.
For those who prefer a feminine, flirty vibe, this crossover creation of peaches and pinks is just the thing.
Animal prints like this zebra string bikini also made their presence felt.
Designer Mara Hoffman introduced tribal elements at her showing, like this cropped swing tank and metallic accessories.
Seen here is a tantalising two-piece in a similar vein, with the boots adding a city-girl feel.
Shimmering lurex came to the fore at the Xtra Life Lycra Brand showing, teamed with cutting-edge footwear and accessories.
Xtra Life also offered up a lot of designs featuring faux fur, like this beautiful blue bikini set off by a cozy-looking muff.
A model shows off her fabulous hair and figure in this abstract print for Cia Maritima.
And finally, we have this retro tie-dye design from the brand, featuring skirted hipster bikini bottoms.
