With the inaugural edition of its Mail Online Showbiz Awards, the Daily Mail has shortlisted the best female figures of the past year. Take a look.

Christening 2012 a "a bumper year of bikini bodies, celebrity scandal and over-sharing on Twitter", UK publication the Daily Mail has published long list of celebrity recipients for what they are calling the 'Mail Online Showbiz Awards'.

In the following pages, we bring you the top 10 candidates for the 'Best Bikini Body' of the past year.

1. Kim Kardashian

In first place we have the famous reality star, who's built her career on her legendary curves.

Kim is all set to become a mother this year, but we're guessing she'll snap back into shape soon after the baby!

2. Kelly Brook

Up next we have the voluptuous British glamour model, who's a vision in a two-piece.

3. Coco Austin

In third spot is rapper and actor Ice-T's buxom wife Coco, who is currently headlining a burlesque show in Las Vegas.

4. Helen Flanagan

Twenty two-year-old UK actress Helen made it in fourth -- easy to see why!

5. Rihanna

Rounding off the top five we have RiRi, who's never shied away from flaunting her fabulous bod.

6. Nicki Minaj

The diminutive but bottom-heavy female rapper follows Rihanna into the list at six.

7. Imogen Thomas

A glamour model and TV personality, Imogen shot to fame in 2011 when it emerged that she had an alleged six-month affair with married Premier League footballer Ryan Giggs.

She's stayed in the news since, mainly by posting sizzling snaps of herself on Twitter.

8. Kate Upton

Sports Illustrated supermodel Kate made it to eighth place. She certainly can rock a bikini!

9. Amber Rose

In at nine we have American glamour model Amber, whose fantastic curves and high-profile relationships with rappers Kanye West and Wiz Khalifa have shot her into the limelight.

10. Chloe Sims

And finally, rounding off the top 10 we have The Only Way Is Essex reality star Chloe, who's been honest enough to admit she's had help from the surgeon's knife.
