It's Halloween, and to celebrate we bring you some of the best celebrity costumes through the years.
Mermaids, robots and everything in between -- stars are known to celebrate any occasion in style and Halloween, which falls on October 31, sees Hollywood A-listers at their scary best each year.
Granted it's not much of an Indian holiday, but everyone loves a costume party. So here's some inspiration for the next one you attend!
In the following pages are some of the best Halloween get-ups, past and present, seen on famous personalities.
We start off with the voluptuous Kim Kardashian, who never passes up an opportunity to dress dramatically -- or show off her legendary curves.
The reality TV star attended an early Halloween bash in New York a few days ago in this mermaid costume, complete with seashell necklaces and a blonde wig.

Kim seems to have a preference for fairytale beauties -- at a party two years ago, she went in a suitably sexy Red Riding Hood costume.

German model Heidi Klum has a Hollywood reputation when it comes to Halloween. Not only does she throw a super annual bash to which everybody who's anybody is invited, she pulls out all the stops when it comes to her costume.

The Egyptian queen outfit is actually rather tame in comparison to some of the other ones Heidi has shown up in over the years.
In 2010, she and soon-to-be-ex husband Seal hosted a Halloween party where they showed up in matching Transformer costumes. The model's robot get-up looked fit for a movie, and dwarfed her metallic muscle spouse.

And here is another of her outlandish choices for the scary holiday back in 2006. The model was pregnant at the time and concealed her growing belly in a large, elaborate 'Eve's apple' costume, complete with serpent.

Joining in the haunted Halloween spirit, former supermodel Padma Lakshmi was spotted in NYC on October 21 this year in a rather witch-y number.
