BlackBerry Torch

2010 was quite happening from the technology point of view, with gadgets like the iPad and Samsung Galaxy S rocking the world with their exclusively impressive features and eye-popping looks.

Though most such gadgets received positive reviews, there were several products and technologies which simply bombed! Few didn't quite match up to the expectation, few sucked look-wise and few went out of reach just for their sky-touching price!

BlackBerry Torch

King of smartphones didn't make it this time! BlackBerry didn't succeed with its touchscreen phones Storm 1 and 2, and it couldn't quite impress us much with RIM's first device with both a touchscreen and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, named BlackBerry Torch.

Running on its newest OS, the phone failed miserably with its poor 3.2inch touchscreen display. Moreover, hot competitors like the iPhone and Motorola's Droid X took away the entire limelight for obvious reasons.

Xperia was a huge hit, and the one which failed to take off was Sony Ericsson's Xperia X10 Mini Pro.

From looks to price to performance to display size, the phone got mixed response. And sadly, negative reviews outnumbered positive ones.

The petite 2.6inch touchscreen display, which was a failure, was a matter of concern for many!

Motorola i1

Motorola i1

It had a masculine rugged look. It had a responsive touchscreen display. It had a 5MP camera. All impressive and praiseworthy!

However, the older version of Android 1.5 OS pulled poor response when compared to its alternatives running higher versions of Android 2.1.

Moreover, its 3.1inch touchscreen display when compared to Droid X's huge 4.3-inch screen fell short of expectations!

Gadget-ophiles would kill us for including Samsung Galaxy Android Tab in this list!

But we mean the not-so-appealing price, which may let many prospective buyers to think again before purchasing one! And Samsung aims to reach its sales target of selling 1 million Tabs this year and shipping 10 million next year.

Guess Samsung needs to think again as well!

Google Buzz

In the world ruled by micro-blogging sites and social networking sites, Google introduced Buzz, which at times was compared to Facebook! However, the social networking and messaging tool from Google was a sheer distress and was not at all approved by its users.

Buzz was criticised for its intrusive nature and privacy concerns. Needless to say, Facebook's popularity was far away from scratches of Buzz!

Iron Man 2 multi-platform game

Iron Man 2 as a movie was a huge success, Iron Man 2 as a multi-platform game with broken combat, ugly sub-par graphics and poor technology standard was nothing more than a miserable thumbs-down!

It didn't get much positive review even from the hardcore game-lovers tch tch!

Clash of the Titans

Another game to let us down.

The game compatible on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 had everything centering generic action and forgettable boss encounters. The players would get bored at the monotonous genre and the long-stretched scenes.

Google Wave

Google Wave

Released in May 2010, Google Wave centred on online real-time collaborating editing. It was targeted as a new Internet communications platform.

Google Wave works like previous messaging systems such as email and Usenet, but instead of sending a message along with its entire thread of previous messages, waves are perpetually stored on a central server.

Sadly, Google Wave didn't succeed among the Internet generation. Why? Simply because it was too confusing to use.

Much before Apple iPad created the buzz, there were some drones about a leaked video of Microsoft's concept tablet showing a folding, dual-slate device.

iPhone 4 White

Great looks, high hopes and awesome features that was what iPhone 4 White supposed to be. However, the yearlong waiting process never ended and 2010 is gone without iPhone 4 version White.

Call it the 'antennae fiasco' of iPhone 4 Black in June that led to uncertain repeated delays of the release of the former.

Let's start waiting again in 2011!
