The Microsoft-Nokia or Nokia-Microsoft, however people tend to call the tie-up has shown some positive developments with the Nokia Lumia 800 mobile phone. The attractive piece is a treat not only for the eyes but your hands, considering the ease this Windows phone offers.

Superior processor
1.4GHz MSM8255 Snapdragon/Scorpion is a nice start to the Lumia 800 phone. 10 minutes into using the phone and you will get the difference from the now-standard 1 GHz processors and Lumia 800's 1.4GHz core.

Screen capacity
The AMOLED screen at offer is good and as compared to recent Windows phones, is quite rich with a particularly good contrast ratio. The other show-points of the Gorilla glass display screen are: scratch resistant and anti-glare polariser.

Advantage Mango OS
News for people who aren't very sure about the performance of Microsoft Windows Phone 7.5 Mango as OS: the OS is here to stay. And folks crazy for social networking would find Mango OS (and thereby Lumia 800) better than even iPhone OS. Mango OS's multi-tasking capabilities also offer a better show than its contemporaries.

Camera capacities
A surprise element with the Lumia 300 is the camera capabilities which though are stuck at 8 mega pixels, but appear more than that. The pixel density is also quite good. Outdoors or indoors, the camera is far better than many other phones in this price range.

Screen size: A centimetre or two short
The screen size at 3.7 inches not only appears a bit short but when used falls short at least by a few millimetres. A screen size 3.8 or 3.9 inches would have been justice to the internet and media experience Lumia 800 has to offer.

No secondary camera
Strange! No secondary camera so no video conferencing. In fact some of the features of Lumia are set up as if this phone is the start point of even better phones to come from Nokia Corp.

A bit thick
12.1 mm is quite thick, at least for those who are used to the slimmer phones that are at offer now days.

No flash support
This is a shock; Lumia 800 doesn't have flash support.
On the whole with its exciting overall looks, iPhone kind of dynamics, decent performance and sturdiness, the Nokia Lumia 800 seems a more than decent purchase.
