MSI, Lenovo, Asus, Acer and Samsung are all showing of their Windows 8 line-up at Computex 2012. Intel says more than 20 Windows 8 tablet in the works on its platform.
The ongoing Computex in Taiwan, which is second largest computer and IT industry trade show in the world, is full of announcement about Windows 8 tablets.
Windows 8 operating system is the latest operating system that is going to be launched in October, and will not just replace Windows 7 but will also become Microsoft's answer for tablets and will possibly be implemented for mobile phones as well.
There is certain similarity in all the tablet announcements -- one is they are all prototypes expected to arrive only by month of October, and secondly the manufacturers are not specifying the precise details of the tablets.
In terms of hardware also, most of the tablets share quite a bit in common. Just like 7 and 10.1 inch is the reigning screen size for Android, 11.6 inch seems to be the size for Windows 8 with most brands opting for that size. A detachable keyboard also looks like the common thread and so is Intel processor.
