The wait is finally over. Apple unveiled the iPad Mini on October 23 and is likely to make its presence felt in India next month. But at Rs 18k for a Wi-Fi-only model, will you go for it?
The iPad Mini tries to make things portable for the iPad fans but still misses out on 3G calling functionality, which was expected earlier.
Apple, the California based computer and mobile equipment manufacturer, has announced the international launch of its smaller 7.9-inch display based iPad Mini tablet. Contrary to the earlier expectations, it has cellular network connectivity but only for data, like its bigger iPad cousins.

The iPad Mini has been priced reasonably in contrast with other Apple products with a $329 or Rs 18,000 price tag for the Wi-Fi only version with 16 GB of storage.
While the device is certainly cheaper it still somehow fails to compete with devices such as the Google Nexus and the Samsung Galaxy Tab which have better features to offer for much lesser price tag. What will be the final price of the tablet in India is just a matter of a few days and we expect it to be launching in India next month onwards.
