With 17 universities in the top 20, the United States of America dominates the global alumni rankings.
Singapore-based wealth analysis firm Wealth X has compiled a list of the top universities that have the richest alumni in the world.
Titled the UK University UHNW (ultra high net worth) Alumni Rankings Special Report, the study ranks UK universities based on the number of ultra high net worth (UHNW) alumni.
The 18-page report features a total of 2,318 UHNW alumni from top 20 universities in the world.
These UHNW individuals have a combined net worth of US$267 billion.
With fifteen universities from the United States of America making it to the top 20, it clearly dominates the global rankings.
Only three universities from the United Kingdom made it to the global top 20, while India's University of Mumbai also made it to the list surpassing the prestigious University of Cambridge and Brown University.
Also, according to the report, males represent 91 per cent of the richest alumni population.

One of America's oldest private league university makes it the top 20 list.
CNN founder Ted Turner, governor Bobby Jindal and actor Emma Watson have all graduated from this university.

According to the report, this institute does not have the highest population of rich alumni, but at $93 billion dollars, it definitely has the highest alumni worth in the whole of UK.

With 451 graduates, America's Northwestern University, USA comes in at Number 13.
