Executive PGP in management

What: IIM-B invites applications for its Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management.

Conducted by the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, it is an intensive one year programme designed for mid-career executives aspiring for leadership roles to enhance skills and capabilities essential for responsible positions at senior management levels.

Eligibility

Graduates in any discipline with a minimum of 50 percent marks or equivalent CGPA and 7 to 15 years full-time work experience.

National Photonics Fellowship of India

What: An opportunity to participate in research in the emerging field of Photonics, at some of the most advanced laboratories of the nation.

Sponsored by the department of information technology, the main goal of the fellowship is to expose the best students to high quality research and help them decide about a future career in Photonics R&D (academic or corporate).

Eligibility

Applicants should be final year students pursuing MSc (Physical Sciences)/ MTech/ BTech programme in a recognised university in India, and an Indian citizen.

The university should specifically allow for such training.

Fresh graduates may also be considered.

Details

15 chosen students will be given the opportunity to spend between 3 to 12 months in a selected laboratory in a premier academic institute. Students will be free to choose a laboratory from a list of laboratories who have agreed to mentor such students. They will spend their time contributing to a research project in photonics (which involves generation/ manipulation/ sending/ receiving / processing of light to push the boundaries of diverse fields ranging from communication and fundamental physics to biology and clinical medicine, even art).

In addition, there will be an annual fellows' conclave where each of them would present their work, and where they will have a chance to interact with leading scientists and members of industry active in the field. A certificate will be awarded after successful presentation of their work.

Stipend

All fellows will be provided a stipend of approximately Rs 12, 000 per month + HRA as applicable.
