The results of the Maharashtra Board Secondary School Certificate examination are now available online on rediff.com and via SMS.

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has announced the results of the class 10 Senior Secondary Certificate examination.

Students can get their Maharashtra SSC results on rediff.com by visiting http://rediff.com/exams.

Click on 'Select exam name' and in the drop down and select 'Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education, PUNE-411004 S.S.C Examination, March 2012' and enter the seat number/Roll no in the dialogue box, and click on 'Get Result'.

Results can also be accessed via SMS.

To get result on mobile phone, SMS MSSC followed by your Seat No to 573335000.

For eg, if your SSC seat number is Z10000, SMS MSSC Z10000 to 573335000.

The results will be released on SMS by the following mobile phone operators:
Mumbai: Idea, Vodafone, Airtel.
Maharashtra and Goa: Idea, Vodafone, Airtel.
All Maharashtra: GSM reliance, CDMA Reliance, Tata Docomo,Tata Indicom, MTNL.

Since 2012, MSBSHSE plans to announce the state board results as early as possible to enable students to plan their junior and degree college admissions better.

This year, even the HSC results were announced two days ahead of last year's announcement.

The education department also plans to release students' marksheets within three days of the declaration of the results online.

This year more than 13 lakh students appeared for the board examination in the state between March 1 and 28.
