The Common Management Admission test (CMAT) is a national level MBA entrance exam conducted by AICTE twice a year. The registration process for CMAT September 2014 session has started from July 3, 2014 and students can register for the exam by filling the application form for CMAT September 2014, available on the AICTE official website.
It is important for students to fill the application form correctly as wrong and incomplete forms will be rejected.
This article gives you an insight about the entire application procedure of CMAT 2014 to be followed by all the eligible candidates.
Here's the step-by-step guide about how to fill the CMAT application form...
Before starting with the application procedure, candidates must ensure that they have all the pre requisites fulfilled.
Candidates must have a computer with good internet speed.
Qualification, personal educational details must be handy as they have to be entered in the CMAT form.
A scanned passport photograph -- size 140x160 (60KB) -- and scanned signature of size 60x90 (30KB).
A valid e-mail ID, contact number and Debit/Credit Card for online payment.
These pre-requisites are important for every candidate to undertake a smooth CMAT registration process. Further the filling the CMAT form involves 3 step processes:
1. User registration
2. Payment
3. CMAT Application form
Step 1: User ID Registration
Each candidate at first must create a new account by clicking on the 'New User' button. Here you have to fill the basic details for self registration, check the details, accept Declaration and click on the Submit button.
After clicking you will receive a 6 digit password written on the screen, via e-mail and SMS. You are now registered for the CMAT exam. Logout from the page and login as an 'Existing User'.
Step 2: Application Form Payment
The next step in filling the Application form is payment of CMAT 2014 Application Fee.
Once you login as an Existing User, click on the 'Step-2 Payment' button.
Candidates can pay the fee of Rs 1450 via two modes -- Online and Cash.
Select the required option, fill in the details and submit the total exam fee.
For Online Payment Mode:
Candidates can select ONLINE PAYMENT mode and then do the payment using Credit card / Debit card / Net Banking. Once the payment is successfully done, candidates will receive a confirmation e-mail and SMS.
After the online payment confirmation, students can proceed with the remaining part of registration process.
For Cash Payment Mode:
Once a candidate selects this option and proceeds, they will see a CHALLAN on their screen with the details already filled in it. The candidates now need to take 3 PRINT OUTS of this CHALLAN, fill in the details wherever required in all the copies, and walk in to your nearest SBI branch located in India with CASH on the next day of generation of Challan.
Cash deposit will be accepted only from the next day of your Challan generation.
Step 3: Filling the Application Form
Once the payment is submitted successfully, the candidates will automatically be taken to the final step which is filling up the CMAT Application Form. Candidates are required to fill in all the correct details in the space provided. The details will be related to work experience, educational background, name and other personal details.
Before submitting all the details, it is important for candidates to view and check whether or not the details entered are correct. Click on the 'View/Modify' button; check all the data entered, change any information in case required.
After submitting all the details candidates must accept the declaration by clicking on the 'I Agree' button, and then click on the 'Submit' button. Candidates will now receive a message on the screen stating, "Thank you for successfully registering for the AICTE CMAT exam. Please login to download your exam ADMIT CARD."
Candidates can also preview the entire application form by clicking on the 'Preview' button, and can also take out the print for further references. This completes the CMAT Application Form.
