CAT 2012 results: 10 score 100 percentile

Ten students have scored 100 percentile, while approximately 1900 students have scored in the 99 percentile this year.

The results of the Common Admission Test 2012 have been declared.

Once again, IIT students rule the roost as eight of ten 100 percentilers this year are IITians. Five of the ten students are still in their final year of graduation.

It is reported that one of the toppers is a science student at Delhi University.

With over 180 students scoring 99 percentile, Mumbai emerged as the best performing city followed by Delhi (168), Bangalore (157), Hyderabad (105), Kolkata (92) and Chennai (85).

Of the 1900 odd 99 percentilers this year, 255 are girls, most of whom are final-year engineering students from Karnataka, Orissa, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.

A national level test, the CAT is a prerequisite for entry into the prestigious Indian Institutes of Management.

Other institutes that accept CAT scores are Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi, Management Development Institute-Gurgaon, SP Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai and management schools under the Indian Institutes of Technology.

CAT 2012 was convened by the IIM Kozhikode was held between October 11 and November 6, 2012 at 61 centers across 36 cities.

Approximately 1,91,642 candidates appeared for the test this year.

Students can access their results online at https://weavedcatkozih.catiim.in by using their CAT registration number and email ID.

Stream-wise performance of top scorers this year


Students pursuing medicine topped the performance graph this year, followed by commerce and economics, architecture and students from arts and humanities.

Among the students scoring over 95 percentile, students from architecture and engineering profiles dominated the high scorers.
