Sadly, Yamaha has no plans of bringing the MT-09 to India but the vehicle has been put on sale in the European markets at a price of Rs. 5.3 lakh.
Yamaha is known to be one of the best performance motorcycle companies in the world. The Japanese automaker has not really shocked the world of late, with very few launches in the performance segment. The Ninja 300 is a vast leap over the Ninja 250R.
The Yamaha MT-09 is a middle weight super bike with streetfighter styling. It is powered by an all new 3-cylinder motor which displaces 850cc in capacity. This unit produces 110 BHP of power and 85 Nm of torque, coupled to a 6-speed gearbox.
The Yamaha MT-09 weighs quite less at just 188 kgs for the non ABS variant and 191 kgs for the ABS model. It has a 14-litre fuel tank and comes with 17-inch, 10-spoke wheels which look really eye catchy.
Yamaha has no plans of bringing the MT-09 to India but the vehicle has been put on sale in the European markets at a price of Rs. 5.3 lakh. It competes with the Ducati Monster 796 and Triumph Speed Triple.
Yamaha offers the MT-09 in 4 colours: orange, grey, blue and deep armour.
