A small to-do list that can assist you to keep your bike healthy when it pours.
1. Brakes
First thing that rain affects in your motorcycle are brakes, whether it's the disc or the drum, the brakes start making a clinking sound. It is because the brake pads get wet and this leads to jamming, which further reduces the responsiveness of the system.
Therefore, rider needs to keep the braking system lubricated and change it completely if the pads get slippery, rusty or worn-out.
However, for disc brakes one only need to check the brake oil.

Park your bike in shade as it will keep it dry and safe till the time you take it out for a monsoon ride.
Rain water that accumulates in different parts of the bike can cause long term problems.
Furthermore, it can be a major reason for rust on the machine plus acid rains can further take the toll on your paint's shine.

Chains get heavily damaged in rainy season as they lose their greasing which further adds to rusting making it noisy and non-performing.
So, washing and greasing it more frequently during rainy season will help you maintain its proper working.
Along with chain, other parts like levers and hinges of the machine need to be oiled properly as water makes its movement rigid.
