KTM will launch its second product in India, the 390 Duke in June 2013. The Duke 390 is the elder sibling of the Duke 200 and both have lots of parts in common.
KTM will offer the 390 Duke with ABS, which will give it very sure-footed stopping power. The rest of the hardware will remain the same as the younger sibling's except of course the engine.
The KTM Duke 390 uses a 375cc engine which produces 44 HP of power and 35 Nm. It is expected to reach 100 km/hr from standstill in 7 seconds. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
The KTM 390 Duke will be priced between Rs 2.3-2.5 lakh (on-road). It will be offered in a range of colours, with different graphics to distinguish it from its siblings.
KTM has made it very clear, it doesn't plan to launch the Duke 125 in India, even though the motorcycle is manufactured in India. The Duke 125 is exported to Europe, catering to beginners.
