They are afordable, offer best mileage economy and don't cost a bomb either. We present top 5 commuter bikes on sale in India.

With the launch of Honda CD 110 Dream recently, the commuter bike segment in India is hotting up again. The commuter bikes, or bikes in the 100 cc to 110cc range, sell about 70 lakh units in India.

While CD 110 Dream is Honda's most afordable bike in this segment, the Japanese manufacturer faces stiff competition not only from its former partner Hero MotoCorp, but also from Bajaj Auto, TVS Motor and Mahindra 2 Wheelers for the share of this pie.

TVS Sport is one of the smartest looking commuters and claims a healthy mileage that makes it more competitive among the other entry level motorcycles.

Honda CD 110 Dream

Honda, the Japanese two-wheeler giant, has launched its most affordable motorcycle under its Dream series.

Christened Honda CD 110 Dream, the bike sports an enticing price tag of Rs 41,100 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The new CD 110 Dream is much cheaper than Dream Neo and Dream Yuga but is designed to offer same level of rideability and durability to the prospective buyer.

With CD 110 Dream, Honda will be able to attract more customers in the rural areas where commuters have more market share than any other motorcycle segment.

The bike is competing against Hero HF Deluxe, Bajaj Platina, TVS Sport and Mahindra Pantero, which are the current low-priced bikes available in the market.
