The 1199 Panigale is a very special bike, and for many reasons. Let us find out what makes the Panigale such a desirable sports motorcycle.

The Ducati 1199 Panigale is named after the manufacturing town of Borgo Panigale. The 1199 is the replacement to the 1198, which was in production from 2009 to 2011.

The Ducati 1199 Panigale would be priced around Rs 20 lakh, when it goes on sale in India later this year.

The Ducati 1199 Panigale is powered by a twin-cylinder engine, which was also acclaimed to be the most powerful in the world.

This engine employs liquid cooling from its V-twin, 4-valve per cylinder engine helping it to produce 195 BHP at 10750 RPM and 132 Nm at 9000 RPM.

The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

The Ducati 1199 Panigale uses an aluminum monocoque chassis with the front suspension being fully adjustable and the rear using electronic compression with rebound adjustment.

The brakes are two semi-floating 330mm discs at the front and a single 245 disc at the rear. ABS is offered as an option.
