The Italian bike maker launches the feature-rich VX.
Piaggio has launched a new variant of the Vespa, called the Vespa VX. The Italian automaker is expanding its scooter line up in India but has no plans of bringing in any non-Vespa scooters in the near future.
The Piaggio Vespa VX is similar to the Vespa LX but with more features.
Piaggio has given the Vespa VX a front disc brake (200 mm in size). The company has also given the scooter tubeless MRF Zapper tyres along with a re-designed instrument cluster and a raised chrome handle bar.
The Vespa VX is priced at Rs 71,380 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Vespa gets two new colours -- green and dual tone pink and red. The company has stopped production of the maroon and black colours on the Vespa due to poor demand.
One can opt for a beige seat on the Vespa VX, which is available for blue and red coloured scooters.
The Vespa VX is powered by a 125cc, 3-valve engine which belts out a class leading 10.06 BHP of peak power and 10.06 Nm of peak torque.
The scooter offers retro styling along with excellent performance, making it a unique offering in the segment. Piaggio will continue to focus on the premium scooter space.
