PIX: A memorable trip to Matheran

IMAGE: Despite being one of the smallest hill stations in Maharashtra, its proximity to the city makes it a popular spot to unwind on weekends.

IMAGE: Neral railway station is approx 90 km from Mumbai.
You can board a local train from CST, Mumbai and reach Neral station (not to be confused with Nerul). To reach Matheran, you can opt to walk, hire a jeep or take the mini train.

IMAGE: The train covers an approx distance of 19 km in three to four hours. The tickets are reasonably priced at Rs 40 for kids under the age of 10 years and Rs 80 for adults.
