We asked you, dear readers, to tell us about the most thoughtful gift you ever received.
Raj Kumar Nahata writes about the special gift his mother gave him soon after his marriage. You can share yours too!
It was the evening of June 30, 1982 when I got married.
My father had retired long ago.
We were, at that time, from a low income group, and my brothers were the bread earners of the family.
My mother came to me on July 1, 1982 and placed Rs 7, 000 in my hand. She told me to go to Kashmir and enjoy my honeymoon with my wife. We went for a 15-day trip.
My father passed away in 1988 and my mother left us on November 14, 2015.
But I still remember her and Papa each day. I really miss them a lot.
Thoughtful gift: Thank you, Dad
Thoughtful gift: A handmade card from my daughter
