Sukumar Seal wrote to us sharing his pet dog Sam's story.
Meet Sukumar Seal's son Sam. The 52-year-old from Bengaluru says, '10 years ago Sam was gifted to our son Suvin by his masi.
'From the moment we got Sam, our lives have been filled with pure love and joy.
'Our lives revolved around him -- we loved seeing his antics. He spread warmth and positivity, and showed us how to lead a happy life.
'Unfortunately, Sam has been diagnosed with a tumour in his brain, due to which he get seizures.
'We were residents of Mumbai for most of our lives, but shifted to Bengaluru two years ago, so that Sam could be given the best possible and available treatment.
'My wife left her job as an associate director with a multi-national company to be with Sam.
'I have left an overseas job to be with him. We are trying to give him all that he wants, so that he can have a comfortable, happy and stress-free life.
'Sam is very friendly, social and loves to play with children. He is always seeking their cuddles and hugs. He is adored by people of all ages in our gated community.
'We request all Rediff.com readers to join us in our prayers for Sam's healthy life.
'No amount of gratitude can substitute the happiness he has given our family in a short period of time.
'Love you my bachcha. You will be always a part of our lives forever.'
