There was music, dance, workshops and lots to be entertained and be inspired from.
The Kala Ghoda Arts Festival is considered one of the largest multicultural festivals in the country.
Held in Mumbai every year since 1998, the festival aims to maintain and promote arts and heritage in southern Mumbai.
The theme of the year -- Hara Ghoda -- was to portray the wonders of nature shown through performance and art. The raging flames of the fire of victory (agni), the liquid blue of aqua (jal), the indefinable air (vayu), the indestructible Earth (prithvi) and the realms of space (akash).
The week-long festival ended Sunday, February 11.

Like every year, the festival offered plenty of opportunities for artistes to come together, explore and exploit their creativity.

Among the many installations, this one by artist Lakshmi Madhavan for 'I need Some Air' bagged the first prize.
The work is a narrative on the current state of Mumbai as concrete proliferates, green patches disappear and air quality rapidly deteriorates.
This display of Madhubani paintings hanging from a tree was loved by all.
There were interesting workshops for kids which involved reading, painting, story telling, and puppet making too.
The heritage walk aimed at giving citizens a sneak peek into the city's forgotten history through its landmarks.
The culinary workshops were a hit too.
Each installation reminded how to assimilate smaller things and put them to bigger use.
The audience were treated to lessons from mythology through theatre.
From Bharatnatyam to Kathak and Odissi, dance forms from most states of the country were showcased at the festival.
Sarod maestro Amjad Ali performed at the Horniman Circle gardens.
