Some old, others new -- these advertisements will melt your cold heart. Vote for your most favourite.
Love, the emotion that drives us to do the craziest things, is also a sly weapon, in the hands of a deft ad filmmaker.
You don't needn't necessarily be selling jewellery or chocolates, as we've learnt.
Paints, coffee, even a mosquito repellent will do.
All you need is a couple with a great onscreen chemistry and you're set.
From the classic Cadbury advertisement to the more recent Asian Paints commercial, these ads will warm the cockles of your heart.

Asian Paints
Womenfolk in the armed forces are perhaps most likely to relate to the wonderful new ads by Asian Paints.
It features a newly-married couple -- the husband, an Indian Army captain, ushers his bride into what is to be her new home.
Bemused at the clinically organised set-up, the young lady walks around only to discover that their bedroom has been painted to remind her of her parents' home.

ICICI Prudential Life Insurance
Boys will be boys. They forget their wallets before a big trip; they're terrible at household chores. But when it comes to protecting their loved ones, they'll happily take the fall.
A charming ad about all the little things men do to make their dearest ones happy.

Good Knight
There's something rather cute about old couples isn't it?
This ad uses the banter between and old man and his wife rather wonderfully to sell, hold your breath, a mosquito repellent!
The man shows up before his wife with a dead mosquito, rather gleefully having proven a point. We realise what it is till the time the phone rings and the neighbour rats on granny that the mosquito was in fact from her home and not theirs.

Bharat Matrimony
On matrimonial websites it isn't unusual to look for prospective brides who will support the house financially after marriage.
What also isn't unusual is to get them to quit at a time most convenient for the rest of the family.
The Bharat Matrimony advertisement is a wonderful tribute to the new-age marriage in which the husband not only respects his wife's choices and supports her but also stands up to his parents to defend them.

Tanishq
While on unconventional story boards, there's the Tanishq advert that came as a breath of fresh air from the annual overdose of young, fair-skinned couples falling in love over diamonds.
The commercial featuring a dusky bride with a daughter took the ad world by storm last year and totally nailed the wedding theme rewriting the rules of conventions.

Bru Coffee
It's a pity we didn't see a lot more of this Bru advertisement in which the husband presses his wife's feet in exchange for a cup of coffee.
Not a bad bargain, we'd say.
Now, if only there were more such (men and ads) like this one.

Cadbury's Dairy Milk
This one's a classic.
Right from the time we first saw it, we knew the Cadbury's advertisement was going to be a special one.
It featured the voice of the yet-to-be-famous Shanker Mahadevan, a jingle that would make you smile even decades later and a spunky model who charmed us with her evidently unchoreographed jig.

Platinum
We wind up with yet another commercial featuring Aditi Rao Hydari.
A newly-married couple find their moment of love when he sees her off at the airport the first time she is about to visit her parents.
The ad endorses Platinum jewellery, says it all without either of its protagonists uttering a single word.
