Neha Vaidya writes about this photograph: "We managed to find time and visit my native place Guhgar in Ratnagiri district. The sole purpose was to enjoy the king of Fruits - the Alphonso mango. So we selected the midweek of May -- the peak season for the harvest and visited it."
Guhagar, she writes, 'has a very long strech of beach and really untouched and cleaner as it is a bit further south of Alibaug'.

Bala Tilak sent is this photograph he snapped at Padavedu village while on his way to the Malaikkottai Hills near Vellore for a trek. The Parvatha and Javvadu Hills and Jamunamarathur falls are some of the perfect spots for an outing with friends in northern Tamil Nadu, he writes. These mountains are an extension of Eastern Ghats which border the cities of Tiruvannamalai and Vellore.
