You can have any colour as long as it's black, Henry Ford said memorably of the colour.
While the industrialist may have been only thinking of cars when he said it, fact is that there is no other colour quite so endearing as black.
And so when the most stylishly turned out women at the preview of The Glamour of Italian Fashion Exhibition in London were in black we weren't surprised at all.
