Prakash Neglur: I hold following shares. Please advise me about their future prospects and whether to hold or sell:
Ajit Mishra: We suggest you to hold GIC, TCS and Page Ind. You can average TVS Motors & M&M at current levels. Further, hold all these stocks for healthy gains over long-term (at least 1-2 years).
Lipika Ghosh: Sir, kindly give me 2 mid cap & 2 small cap with 1-2 yrs view.
Ajit Mishra: From 1-2 years perspective, we would suggest you to buy stock such as Voltas, IFB, Subros and Elgi Equipment.
C Nunthara: Dear Sir, I am a senior citizen and have the following portfolio in stock market. Kindly advice regarding how to go about it in the current market situation: sell, hold or otherwise.
Ajit Mishra: We suggest you to hold Aurobindo, Apollo Tyres, JK Papers, KEI Industries. However, all other stocks should be exit.
Anant Kamat: Hello Sir, I am holding the below mentioned stocks from past couple of years. Please let me know if I can continue holding them or exit.
Ajit Mishra: We suggest you to hold Can Fin Homes, IGL, M&M, Wipro and Yes Bank. In addition, exit stocks like IDFC First Bank, Marksans Pharma and North Eastern.
Fahim Ur Rehman: Sir, I have below mentioned shares. Please advise:
Ajit Mishra: We advise you hold Yes Bank for long term (at least 1-2 years), however you can Exit HFCL and Syndicate Bank on rise.
Mrs Radha: I hold shares of L&T and Ultra-Tech. Are they good to hold for long term? Also please advise about Nataraj Ceramic and BOC Ltd. Not sure what to do with them as I don't see any trade listing going on for it.
Please advise on this as I keep receiving letters from unknown stock brokers quoting the shares I hold with these 2 companies and offering to buy them. Is it okay to deal with such stock brokers who I am not aware of?
Ajit Mishra: You can hold L&T and Ultra-Tech for long term as they are fundamentally sound companies and can earn healthy returns over long term. As per our understanding, Natraj Ceramic name has been changed to Dalmia Bharat, while BOC Ltd has been changed to Linde India.
Roque Dsouza: Please advise whether to hold, sell or average, my portfolio which is as below:
Ajit Mishra: We would advise you to hold ITC and INFY. Exit stocks such asIndiabulls Housing Finance, Indiabulls Real Estate, Tata Motors, RTNINFRA, RPOWER, RCOM and Sun Pharma.
V R Balasubramaniam: I hold 1000 shares of Zee Media Corporation Ltd. in demat Form. My broker said today "No Buyers" when I placed order to sell this scrip. Please suggest how I can get sell this stock before its price goes down further.
Ajit Mishra: You need to place sell order only with your broker. There is no other alternative for you to sell the stock.
V S Ghadge: Dear Sir, I am holding following stocks bought at much lower levels during 10 to 12 years ago. Can I hold on to them if I can expect returns after 3 to 4 years?
SBI, Union Bank, IOB.
Ajit Mishra: You can continue to hold SBI but exit Union Bank and IOB.
Mamata Das: I am holding Petronet LNG hoping to sell off at 270-280 in the next couple of months. Kindly suggest when I should exit or should I continue to hold or can I exit as planned?
Ajit Mishra: You can continue to hold Petronet LNG for long term.
