Umesh Kumar: I read your Rediff and cdn.ampproject articles. I am impressed with your recommendations and would like to get some of my below queries to addressed. I highly appreciate your help on this matter. Thank you in advance.

I have invested in the below mutual funds. I have started in 2017 and planning till 2027. My risk appetite is moderate and willing to create corpus of 1 crore till 2027 or even I can wait till 2032. How much should I invest?

Currently, investing 32,000 per month. However I would like to increase my SIP amount but I am confused in which scheme should I top up/step up/increase the SIP and any funds to discontinue.

1. Could you please let me know my fund selection below is good? Like asset allocation and other details pls?

2. In which scheme do I need to increase my SIP?

3. Any other scheme would you like me to add or discontinue

Looking forward to hear from you. Many thanks in advance.

Omkeshwar Singh: Investment via Insurance is never advisable, use insurance for protection only via term plans and the investments can be done via mutual funds.

Manpreet Singh: I am 32 years old working in a PSU with an annual package of around 11 lakh. I have been investing Rs 6000 through monthly SIP since May 2015 in three funds, viz.

Name of the Fund Category RankMF Star Rating
Axis Long Term Equity Fund Direct Growth – 3000 Equity - ELSS 5
ICICI Prudential Long Term Equity Fund Direct Growth - 1500 Equity - ELSS 3
IDFC Tax Advantage Fund Growth - 1500 Equity - ELSS 2

I chose these ELSS funds as I needed deduction under section 80C at that time. But now the deduction is being taken care by my PF contribution & LIC. I am a long term investor & can remain invested for around 10-15 years.

Kindly advise:

1. Whether these funds are performing well and I should continue my SIP in these funds or not? If not, suggest the funds where I can switch to.

2. Also kindly advise the fund for lumpsum/one time investment for amount of Rs 60000.

Omkeshwar Singh: You may continue with Axis Long term Equity and remaining can be re-looked

You may look at these funds with an investment horizon of 10 to 15 years:
