Says she will tell her story about Paul Marciano, who is currently the creative director of the powerhouse denim brand.
Adding to the long list of powerful men accused of sexual harassment since the #MeToo campaign began in October last year, model and actress Kate Upton has accused the co-founder of fashion brand Guess of sexually harassing women in the fashion industry.
Taking to both Twitter and Instagram, the 25-year-old wrote, 'It's disappointing that such an iconic women's brand @Guess is still empowering Paul Marciano as their creative director #metoo."
She added, 'He shouldn't be allowed to use his power in the industry to sexually and emotionally harass women #metoo.'
Marciano, who co-founded Guess with his brothers in 1981, stepped down from his position as the brand's chief executive officer in 2015, and became the executive chairman. He has remained the denim powerhouse's chief creative officer.
Upton, who modeled for Guess in 2012, did not immediately elaborate on her accusation.
She told a TMZ photographer who stopped her at the Los Angeles airport that she would go into the details later.
In the video clip, she is heard saying, 'I'm excited to tell my whole story but a walk to the car won't cover it.'
But she claimed that the issue with Marciano was 'a huge problem' and suggested that people around him knew about the alleged misconduct but failed to act.
At the time of publication, neither Marciano, nor his company had responded to the allegations.
