Think your own love story is wonderful?

Or, maybe, you're just a romantic, creative writer.

Well, this is your chance to get your story out there, for everyone to read.

Penguin India is hosting a 'Love Stories That Touched My Heart' contest. Your stories will be judged by author Ravinder Singh, who has two bestsellers to his credit -- I Too Had A Love Story and Can Love Happen Twice? and Penguin India.

If selected, your story will be used in a book of short stories, to be published by Penguin India in December 2012.

Your entry should be between 1,500 words and 3,000 words and in MS Word format only (.doc or .docx). Incorrectly completed entries will be disqualified. Multiple entries are not allowed. One entry per person.

You will need to send in the stories under your name, along with your address and phone number.

Your entry should be original and written by you. It should not have been previously published in any format, Web site or publication. The stories can be real or fiction.

Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted. Joint submissions are not allowed.

Your entry will not be returned to you.

The 'Love Stories That Touched My Heart' contest ends at midnight, August 31, 2012 ('contest period').

Entries once selected cannot be withdrawn.

You will be required to give your contact details, mailing address age and any other details deemed necessary and relevant upon joining the contest

Rights of publication of the anthology in all formats -- physical, digital, excerpts will be held by Penguin Books India.

The

terms and the conditions for the launch of the book will be separately shared.

Any copyright dispute that may be existing / arise in respect of an entry (selected or not selected) shall be the responsibility of the participant. Penguin Books India and Rediff.com shall in no manner be responsible for any legal/other dispute that may be existing/may exist in future in respect of the entries.

We take no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered due to technical or other reason.

Sending an email is not proof that we have received your entry. Also, entries sent in any mode, except for the modes specifically provided for, shall be deemed to be invalid/not received.

The entries will be judged by Ravinder Singh and Penguin India. The names of the winners will also be published on Rediff.com.

The stories that are sent in may also be published on Rediff.com at editorial discretion.

If your entry is selected to be published in the collection, Penguin India will notify you by post and e-mail. Ravinder Singh's and Penguin India's decision will be final and no correspondence will be entertained into by Rediff.com, Ravinder Singh and Penguin India.

It is a condition of entry that all rules are accepted as final and that the competitor agrees to abide by these rules.

Penguin Books India and Rediff.com accept no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by you as a result of entering the competition or accepting the prize.

The contest is valid only for residents of India and the Indian Subcontinent. You have to be 18 years old or older at the time of submitting your entry. By submitting your entry, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions listed here.

Employees of Rediff.com and its subsidiaries, Penguin Books India, Pearson and its subsidiaries and affiliates, sponsors, agencies and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate in this contest.
