Among the few things we know about Chitrangada Singh is that she lights up the runway the moment she steps out of the wings.
So when we heard that she was to walk for Tarun Tahiliani on Day Five of Lakme Fashion Week, we were looking forward to it!
Goes without saying, she knocked our socks off!
To say that Tahiliani's collection was a riot of colours would be an understatement.
The collection, Past Modern, has been inspired by the work of The Singh Twins.
Amrit and Rabindra, better known as The Singh Twins are UK-based award-winning artists who have revived the technique of miniature paintings
Tahiliani selected elements from their work and translated them onto digitally printed clothes.
He used selective elements from different paintings to complement his creations such as this one.
The collection comprised fitted gilets, dhotis, lungi skirts and jewelled tees as well as stunning saris, kedeo tops and kalidaar kurtas.
Tahiliani spared no colour -- white led the list with black, followed by muted tones and some bold bright hues like rust, orange and red to violet dark blue.
Men's wear included lots of wildly printed shirts, waistcoats, sherwani, a set of shaded blue/green sherwani and long coats, with placement prints giving the line a very vibrantly hued appearance.

Closing the show was Chitrangada who wore a long-sleeve multi-coloured blouse with a voluminous colourful layered net and printed skirt and an impressive cummerbund.
She is seen here with Tarun Tahiliani posing for the photographers at the end of the show.
