What: IIM Bangalore is organizing its annual cultural festival Unmaad in January.

When: January 21 to 23, 2011

With footfalls of over 30,000, this is one of the major college cultural events in South India. Some of the attractions Unmaad 2011 include The Unity Concert -- an Indo-Pak pro-nite by Indian Ocean and Strings, and B School of Rock -- Bangalore's biggest rock competition which will be headlined by Fire on Dawson, a rock band from Germany who will be playing for the first time in Bangalore.

Apart from the professional shows, all the major college events are back with Arul Mani, from Karnataka Quiz Association, hosting the annual open quiz and other special events like Fashion Show and Choreo making their return. With total prizes worth over Rs 10,00,000 up for grabs, Unmaad 2011 is a must visit for any college worth their salt in the cultural arena.

Causes: The theme for Unmaad 2011 is Therefore I Am.

Unmaad 2011, celebrates this silent power that resides in every individual -- the power to belong, the power to break free, to forge, to overcome and to make a difference.

One man's experiments with truth. One man's long walk to freedom after 26 years in prison. One woman's saintly work in the gutters. One man's perspective on a falling apple. They defied logic. They broke rules. They caused chaos. And from this madness, a new culture is born. They inspired and have proven, time and again, that each one of us has it in us. The power of one that can change it for all. All it takes is a leap of faith.
