Have you ever developed cold feet and pulled out of marrying at the last minute?
Last week, the wedding of Prince Albert to South African former professional swimmer Charlene Wittstock was marred by rumours that the bride had tried to flee her impending nuptials thrice in the build-up to her big day.
It is alleged that newly-minted princess Charlene tried to get away by boarding a plane at Nice in France and she had to be pursuaded to stay back and go through with her wedding. Why? It is believed that the prince, who already has two children out of wedlock, had fathered a third during their relationship.
And last month, Playboy mogul Hugh Hefner, 85, was practically ditched at the altar when his 25-year-old fiance, Crystal Harris called off their engagement five days before they were to wed.
But it's not just the rich and famous who cancel their weddings and engagements at the nth hour. There are runaway brides and grooms all over the world and we've all heard similar stories -- or lived them ourselves!
Have you ever ended your engagement or chickened out of marriage at the last minute? What happened? What consequences did you have to face as a result? Was it the right decision or do you regret it?
