Wow! Kriti is a breath of fresh air in florals

July 26, 2019 10:37 IST

Designer duo Shyamal and Bhumika launched their collection titled The Renaissance Muse at FDCI India Couture Week.

Inspired by the iconic period of renaissance, the collection connected the conventional with present-day India.

The colour palate had a blend of traditional Indian tones along with unusual vintage shades inspired by ceiling frescoes dating back to the 15th and 17th century.

IMAGE: Inspired by inlay samples in museums, vintage European paintings, architectural details, mogul florals, renaissance costumes, and most importantly the 15th century opera theatre sets, the designers used the most colourful silk threads in delicate embroideries.
