This is what happens when designers go overboard with 'creative freedom'.

If there were some droolworthy designs modelled at the recently concluded Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2015, there were others that were simply crazy, outlandish, cringeworthy.

Here's what we mean.

Thinking out of the box does not always work. The perfect example is this (can we call it a creation?) by Aartivijay Gupta.

Poor Manish Bansal couldn't make up his mind... hence this strange fusion between what could have been a knee length chequered shirt or kurta.

Why on earth would anyone wear a bizarre arm-movement restraining bib is what we'd like to ask Munkee.See.Munkee.Doo!

Confusion hi confusion hai solution ka pata nahi,' sings Sharman Joshi in the iconic song, All is well, from 3 Idiots. How we sympathise with designer Salita Nanda.

You can create something interesting when you have yards of leftover material. This is what Karishma Sahani chose to do.

Now, if we needed Diwali or Christmas decorations, maybe! But this was the showstopper outfit from veteran designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla.
