Bipasha Basu LFW

Actor Bipasha Basu turned showstopper for designer Reshma Kunhi 'Lotus' on Day 4 of Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2018.
The designs were a mix of traditional Indian wear with a global appeal and were aimed at the modern Indian woman who wears everything from skirts to lehengas.
The designer chose bold hues and fabrics like handloom silk, organza, tulle and other specialised blends.
'Intricate embroidery ranged from hand knotting work to exquisite zari work, sequins, pearls, thread work, metal accents, ruffles, tassels and pleats that highlighted each piece in patterns, which reflected all aspects of a lotus's lifecycle, from bud to bloom,' a statement said.

Tamannaah Bhatia LFW

Ashwini Reddy's 'Tilottama' -- a refreshing, edgy, modern take on couture -- drew actress Tamannaah Bhatia.
The collection was inspired by the beauty of Apsaras from Hindu mythology.
One of the highlights of Reddy's collection was the use of textures by mixing fabrics like silks, organza, Lycra, brocade, nets, woven textiles, organza and chiffon. The designer also added embellishments, embroidery, cutwork, crystals, flat pita work, floral prints and sequins.

Dia Mirza LFW

Sanjukta Dutta's collection used rich, luxurious handloom fabrics made of silk, cotton, silk-blends, silk yarns, mulberry-silk and brocade that are native to India's seven sister states -- Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura.
Sanjukta, who is a specialist at creating the Mekhela Chador of Assam, put her showstopper Dia Mirza in gold-toned Mekhela Chador.

Nidhi Agerwal LFW

Shloka Sudhakar's 'Jeannie' gave a twist to the casual denim. She merged the modern Indian silhouettes with popular, wearable western textiles.
Her showstopper Nidhhi Agerwal glided down the catwalk in a retro-chic ensemble comprising a lightly embellished baby blue blouse matched with a dip-dyed pink and navy blue skirt, which was decorated with heavy three dimensional motifs made of gemstones and sequins.
