It has the perfect mix of outfits for daily wear as well as those special occasions!

Playing to a full house, Lakme Fashion Week Summer Resort 2016's GenNext show started with a bang! Present in the audience was Renzo Rosso, founder of Diesel, who kicked off the show. "Be brave and believe in what you're doing," he advised the young, budding designers.
Peppy, upbeat music set the tone for the show as models poured in, dressed in outfits designed by the GenNext designers. Shades like white, beige, grey and blue dominated the ramp, and the designers kept the outfit simple without heavy detailing and excessive layering.

All eyes were on fashion designer Aqdus Saleem's collection, The Modest Chapter. The collection embraced Islamic ethnic wear and contemporary fashion, to create an interesting fusion.
Colours like beige and white ruled the runway.
A model dressed in a white outfit, with a beige cape and turban. The materials used in the collection included cotton lawn, cotton linen and organza with thread embroidery.

Designer Agrima Batra put her creativity to great use by using colourful patchwork made out of waste fabric for her outfits.
Simple cuts and flowing dresses dominated the runway along with jumpsuits in black and white.
Here's the designer, waving out cheerfully to the crowd, dressed in one of her creations.

Interesting prints were part of designer Chirag Nainani's collection. Seen here is a model dressed in an asymmetrical printed top.

Chirag takes a bow. Bold prints in grey and black made for interesting jackets, saris, tops and dresses. And the kaftan made a comeback on the ramp.

Long jackets, dresses and skirts with seen in plenty.
Naaz kept the collection fun yet wearable. The collection had Middle East wear and it was the designer's attempt at breaking stereotypes through her outfits.
The designer takes centre-stage with her models. The idea of the collection was to make people feel comfortable yet stylish in what they wear. She worked with plenty of childlike characters.
