The Taiwanese company, Asus, has introduced ZenFone Selfie, a new member to its popular ZenFone series. Asus has for the past couple of years brought out several high end smartphones that are priced competitively to take on the tsunami caused by the Chinese mobile companies in the mobile phone market.

Design
The new member comes with high quality design, and the company has used premium materials that also make it a design accessory for the hip and trendy youth of today. This mid range smartphone featuring several high-end specs punches far above its class.
ZenFone Selfie’s outer casing is made by using diamond-cutting technology with a varying spin pitch of 0.13mm between each cut to produce amazing visual effect for the iconic spin-cut concentric circles. This technology fuses the cover glass and touch-panel layers to eliminate the air gap.

Asus has provided the Zenfone Selfie with Android 5.0 Lollipop OS out of the box with Asus Zen UI laid on its top.
The Zen UI is a highly perceptive interface. The UI allows you to add themes and wallpapers, widgets, scroll effects, plus other important home screen settings to your phone to personalise it according to your taste.
It has several new features to open or shut the smartphone; you can use the power button at the top of the device or a double tap on the screen to open the menu. Similarly, to put the device to sleep, you can take the help of the power button or double tap on the notification bar.
At the bottom of the screen, you will find three capacitive buttons that control back, home and multi tasking functions.
In addition, the Zenfone Selfie provides some shortcuts as well, wherein to launch the camera application you have to write ‘C’ on your screen; for browser you have to use letter ‘W’, S for Messaging, E for Email, Z for Asus Boost, S for selfie camera and V for Dialer. You can also double tap the screen to shrink the size of the screen for one hand use.
