This trendy looking handset is made by Huawei and comes with several innovative technologies, including the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.

The retail price of Nexus 6P 32GB variant is 39,999 and 64GB variant is Rs 42,999.

Google Nexus 6P

This is a premium variant of the recently released smartphones by Google. It delivers a lot of capability with a large dollop of style at an interesting price point.

The phone is enveloped in an all-metal casing with premium industrial design and has overall dimensions of 159.3mm x 77.8mm x 7.3 mm, besides weighing a hefty 178 grams.

The traditional looks of this phone are highlighted by two speakers at the top and the bottom of the display, and a front-facing camera at the top.

This handset is provided with a USB C charger, a microphone and a 3.5mm audio jack that are placed at the top edge. The bottom of this device has a microphone.

Looking at the back panel, you will find the primary camera etched at the top centre with dual LED flash on its side and a laser autofocus finder; all of these are placed on a slightly raised up body highlighted with a different colour than the normal body colour of this phone.

There is also a circular chrome surrounded fingerprint sensor at the centre of the back panel. The names of Nexus and Huawei are marked on the back. The back panel is made of brushed Aluminium metal with flat finish on the edges.

The sleep/ wake power (with a textured feel) and volume rocker buttons are placed on the right side of the device and on the left side is the Nano SIM tray.

Overall, the build quality of this handset is good and is available in three different colour options of Graphite, Aluminium and Frost.

Display

Google Nexus 6P is provided with a big and sparkling 5.7-inch full HD AMOLED capacitive touchscreen that projects images in 1440x2560 pixels resolution and possesses a pixel density of 518ppi. The high pixel density of this handset gives the user a wonderful experience with the bright and colour saturated screen.

Its viewing angles are very good and viewing under direct sunlight is better than the earlier Nexus 6. This superior display has been provided with the protection of a scratch resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 4 layer. The body to screen ratio of this handset is 71.4 per cent.

Camera

The new Google Nexus 6P is provided with two capable cameras that allow the user to indulge in his or her passion of taking photos, videos or selfies. The primary camera has a 12MP Sony sensor and it can take high quality still photos in 4608x2592 pixels and 4K videos at the rate of 30fps.

This camera is coupled to a dual LED flash and a laser autofocus finder that not only enhances the low light photography, but also improves the focusing. However, there is no optical image stabilisation integrated with the camera and you have to depend upon the software image stabilisation to get good quality blur free pictures.

The second camera of this phone comes with a Sony 5MP wide angled lens placed at the front that allows you to take good quality selfies and even shoot 1080p videos. The primary camera also has several features to improve the photo and video taking capabilities of this smartphone, including Touch focus, face/smile detection, panorama, HDR and HDR+ and Geo tagging.

Processor

The Google Nexus 6P comes with a superb processor that can take on any high demand games with quality settings maxed out easily. The processor that runs this smartphone is a powerful octa core beast (Quad-core 1.55 GHz Cortex-A53 & Quad-core 2.0 GHz Cortex-A57) Qualcomm MSM 8994 Snapdragon 810 processor that works with Adreno 430 GPU.

Operating System and UI

The new OS comes with several distinctive features that allow you to use this handset smoothly like tapping the finger print sensor to wake up the display, if the user taps the screen twice the camera is actuated, regardless of it being in the dozing or wake mode.

On the home screen, you have Google Now to look at any information already displayed on your screen. Tapping the Google Now icon will allow the handset to collect information about the image or text displayed on your screen from multiple sources and present it to you in a card form.

In addition, the new OS provides you with a card at the top of the home screen that has the list of your frequent callers. It also has a new home screen that shows the used apps in one place. The new permission manager is more powerful and you can grant or withhold permission to any app.

The user can optimise the battery performance by regulating the battery usage on an app by app basis. Moreover, the DOZE feature allows the phone to refresh things more slowly when it feels the phone is not in use thereby improving the standby time.

Swiping right on, the Home screen gets you the Google now and swipe down once, we get to the notice board and swiping twice time takes us to the setting. Nonetheless, on the off chance that you wish to go to the settings quick, you can go for the two fingers slide down activity.
