10 smartphones under Rs 30,000

The mid price segment of the smartphone market happens to be a sweet spot for most consumers who wish to buy a premium handset without the need to shell out a large amount.

The phones listed below do not follow any particular order, but are a collection of the most popular smartphones under Rs 30,000.

1. LG G3

This flagship device from LG is a beautifully crafted all metal smartphone packed with high-end features.

This 149g phone has overall dimensions of 146.3mm x 74.6mm x 8.9 mm and comes with curved edges that allow the user to hold it easily.

The display of this phone is 5.5-inches in size with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels.

It comes out of the box with Android 5.1.1 OS and is powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core Krait 400 Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 processor along with Adreno 330 GPU and 2GB or 3GB RAM options.

Other features of this smartphone include a 13-megapixels primary rear camera with double optical stabilisation and a 2.1-megapixels secondary front-facing camera.

This 3G enabled handset is available with 16GB/32GB storage options and supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, USM port, AGPS and GLONASS connectivity features.

The sensors provided with LG G3 include an accelerometer, a gyro, a proximity sensor and a compass.

2. HTC One E9+

This lovely looking handset from HTC has an all metal frame and boasts of 5.5-inches of screen space.

This display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 supports images in 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution.

Its software side is made up of Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS with HTC Sense UI 7.0 layered over the top.

HTC has made this smartphone available with 32GB of ROM and a microSD car slot that allows users to add up to 128GB of external memory.

To run this handset smoothly, it has been bestowed with a powerful 2GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6795M Helio X10 processor coupled to an PowerVR G6200 GPU and 3GB of RAM.

For taking photos or shooting videos, you can easily rely on its 20-megapixels primary camera at the back and a 13 and 4-megapixels camera combination at the front.

Supporting all the major connectivity features (excluding 4G), this smartphone runs on a 2800mAh Li-po battery and is available in meteor gray, classic rose gold and gold sepia colour options. .

3. Moto X Style

Moto X Style is a premium smartphone from the stable of Motorola that has an elegant all-metal casing with curved edges.

It also has a huge 5.7 inches IPS display covered by a scratch resistant Gorilla Glass 3 layer, and can support an amazing resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels.

It has two powerful shooters -- one of them being a 21-megapixels camera at the back and the other a 5-megapixels camera at the front.

The handset is run by a combination of hexa-core (dual-core 1.8 GHz Cortex-A57 & quad-core 1.44 GHz Cortex-A53) Qualcomm MSM8992 Snapdragon 808 processor, Adreno 418GPU and 3GB of RAM.

Motorola has made this phone available in three different storage options of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.

To run this smartphone for a long time, it comes powered by a 3000mAh battery.

4. One Plus 2

This smooth looking phone from the Chinese multinational allows you to own a flagship like phone at a mid range price tag.

It has a 5.5-inch full HD display covered with Gorilla Glass 4 layer that supports 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution.

It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with Oxygen 2.1.2 UI mounted on it. To run it without any problem, it houses an octa-core (quad-core 1.56 GHz Cortex-A53 & quad-core 1.82 GHz Cortex-A57) Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 processor in conjunction with Adreno 430 GPU and 4GB of RAM.

For taking photography, it has two shooters: one placed at the back with a 13-megapixels sensor and the other embedded at the front with a 5- megapixels sensor.

This smartphone is available in two storage variants of 16GB and 64GB (there is no option of adding any additional external memory to this handset.

Featuring a wide range of connectivity options, it houses several sensors like a fingerprint sensor, an accelerometer, gyro, proximity sensor, and compass.

This handset hides a 3300mAh battery under its hood.

5. Motorola Nexus 6

This model of Nexus comes with a huge AMOLED capacitive touchscreen of size 5.96 inches.

The display that is covered by the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 layer can render images in 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution.

Nexus 6 boasts of two capable cameras to take brilliant pictures, wherein one of them with a 13-megapixels sensor is placed at the back and the other with a 2-megapixels sensor is placed at the front.

A 2.7GHz quad-core 2.7 GHz Krait 450 Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset along with Adreno 420 GPU and 3GB of RAM runs this handset smoothly.

This model supports a wide range of connectivity options including 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, USM port, AGPS and GLONASS.

The sensors provided with LG G3 include an accelerometer, gyro, proximity sensor and compass.

A 3220mAh battery powers the device, which has been made available in two colour options of midnight blue and cloud white.

6. Sony Xperia Z3 Compact

This fantastically designed product from Sony boasts of a 4.6 inches display that supports 720 x 1280 pixels resolution.

It has a powerful 20.7-megapixels camera at the back but an ordinary 2.2-megapixels camera at the front.

To run smoothly, it features a 2.5GHz quad-core Krait 400 Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 processor along with Adreno 330 GPU and 2GB of RAM.

It is available with 16GB of inbuilt memory and a microSD card slot that allows addition of a further 128GB of external memory.

7. Huawei Honor 6 Plus

This Chinese smartphone comes with several top end features including a 5.5 inches full display that supports 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution.

Other features include an octa-core processor, a Mali-T628 MP4 GPU and 3GB of RAM.

It has an inbuilt storage of 16GB with an option to add external memory through a microSD card.

It has both 8-megapixels cameras at the front and back to take photos or selfies, and is powered by a 3600 Lithium-polymer battery.

This smartphone available in black, white and gold colour options.

8. Asus ZenFone 2

The new Asus ZenFone 2 comes with a 5.5-inch full HD display that is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 layer.

It comes out of the box with Android 5.0 Lollipop OS overlaid with Zen UI. In addition, you also get a 13-megapixels camera at the back and a 5-megapixels camera in the front.

This beautiful handset is run by a 2.3GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3580 processor ably supported by 4GB of RAM.

It supports a lot of connectivity options like 4G, 3G, 2G, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, micro USB 2.0 and NFC.

This smartphone is powered by a 3000mAh battery.

9. Samsung Galaxy Alpha

Samsung Galaxy is a premium smartphone from Samsung that comes with a 4.7-inch HD screen, which supports 720 x 1280 pixels resolution.

It comes out of the box with Android 5.0 Lollipop OS and the recent TouchWiz UI laid at the top.

To run it smoothly, it packs in an octa-core Exynos 5 processor with Mali T628 MP6 and 2GB RAM.

Samsung has provided it with 32GB of internal storage, but unfortunately, did not provide any microSD card support.

For shooting videos and taking selfies, it houses a 12-megapixels camera at the rear and a 2.1-megapixels camera at the front.

Supporting a large number of connectivity features including 4G, it is available in charcoal black, sleek silver, dazzling white, frosted gold, and scuba blue colour options.

10. Xiaomi Mi 4

The Xiaomi Mi 4 is blessed with a full HD 5-inch IPS LCD screen that supports 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution.

It runs on the dated Android 4.4-based MIUI 5.0 operating system.

Xiaomi has provided it with a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor with 3GB of RAM.

Other features of this smartphone include 16/64GB of onboard storage, a 13-megapixels primary rear camera and an 8-megapixels secondary front camera.

The phone is powered by a 3080 Li-ion battery.
