Mumbai

What: Jashn, celebrating the flavours of Pakistan from Baluchistan, Sind, North Frontier and Punjab.
Who: This festival will feature two master chefs from the Avari Hotel, Lahore.
Where: The Peshwa Pavilion, ITC Grand Maratha Sheraton, Mumbai
When: August 27 to September 5

Delhi

What: Dosa festival. Gorge on Coconut Uthappams, Butter Masala Dosas, Onion Mysore Dosas and the like.
Where: The South Indian Restaurant, Brindavan, M-Block market, First floor, Greater Kailash-1, Delhi
Lunch hour favourite: The Thali; it includes rice, four puris, upma, a mini dosa and dessert.

Chennai

What: The Madisagar Magic Festival
On till: September 5
Where: Garden Cafe, Radisson GRT Hotel, Chennai
Look out for: The kolams at the corners of the tables and antique measures filled with lentils and rice.
Choose from: Avarakkai Usili, Vendakkai Morkuzhambu, Avial, Thengai Sevai, Senai Masiyal. Garnish with Vepillai Katti, Kathrikkai Thuviyal and Podis like garlic, coconut, lentil and curry leaves.
Hot favourites: Morkali, Moola Keerai Poricha Kootu, Urulai Kodamilagai Kara Curry and Murunga Elai Adai. Don't forget to sample the Akkara Vadisal and Aval Payasam in the dessert section.

Kolkata

What: The revamped French cuisine menu. Instead of the classic 13-course meal, the menu is down to four courses -- starters, soup, main course and dessert.
Where: The Chambers, the members-only lounge at the Taj Bengal, Kolkata.

Watch out for: The freshly baked croissants (they are baked at 5.30 am every day) and ice cream.

Movie: Mr Natwarlal
Young Natwar's (Amitabh Bachchan) life comes crashing down after his elder brother, Inspector Girdharilal (Ajit), is framed for bribery and discharged from the police force. Natwar vows to bring down Vicky (Amjad Khan), the man responsible. This classic Amitabh fare also features Mere paas aao, the first song Amitabh sang for the big screen.

Series: Masterstrokes
Learn leadership mantras from Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly and Jisco chairman Sajjan Jindal. Get insights into Allan Border's leadership style and how he turned around the lagging Australia cricket team. The show will be hosted by Harsha Bhogle.

Series: Kyunki… Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi
During the Janmashtami celebrations, Ganga trips and later loses her child. When Damini learns she will have twins, she decides to give one of her children to Ganga.

Mansukh overhears Tulsi and Mihir taking about Karan. He also hears Gautam telling Damini he is not happy with her decision about their child.

Later, when Tulsi goes into Mansukh's room to get a bindi for Savita, she discovers he has died in his sleep. When the lawyer comes over, he insists on reading Mansukh's will. What does the will say?

Will the coming week destory the Viranis? More important, will it boost the saas-bahu soap's TRP ratings?
