Who doesn't like chocolate rolls drenched in the goodness of choco chips and milk?
Here's the yummy recipe:
Ingredients
For the cake
- 1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1 cup milk powder
- 3/4 cup white butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- A pinch of baking soda
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
For frosting
- 6 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 drops vanilla essence
- 1/3 cup of milk
For chocolate sauce
- 3/4 cup choco chips
- One cup dark chocolate sauce
Method
How to make chocolate cake
- Mix in all ingredients for the cake together.
- If the dough is thick add additional 1/4 cup milk.
- Bake it in a preheated oven at 180 degree for 35 minutes.
How to make chocolate frost
- Beat 6 tbsp of butter. Add 1/2 cup cocoa powder and 3/4 cup sugar.
- Beat it for five minutes and add vanilla essence and some milk.
How to make chocolate sauce
- Heat 1/2 cup of milk and switch off the gas.
- Add 3/4 cup of choco chips and stir until all the choco chips are melted.
How to make the roll
- Crush the whole cake thoroughly and then add chocolate frost in it till the consistency is like a chapati dough.
- Take a butter paper and apply the cake dough to cover the paper.
- The thickness has to be consistent, otherwise the roll will crack.
- Apply rich cream or whipped cream on it.
- Roll it inwards very slowly, carefully discarding the paper as you roll.
- Refrigerate it for 15 minutes.
- Take it out and apply frost over it.
- Refrigerate for half an hour.
- Take it out and cut into circular shapes.
- Pour dark chocolate sauce over it and serve.
