Ramzan recipe: Cheesy Corn Pattice

Today, Reshma brings you this super-easy recipe for Cheesy Corn Pattice.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sweet corn kernels, boiled
  • 4 medium-sized potatoes, boiled and peeled
  • 1/2 cup coriander and mint leaves, chopped
  • 1 cup capsicum, finely chopped.
  • 3-4 green chillies, finely chopped
  • 3-4 cheese cubes, grated
  • 3-4 tbsp corn flour
  • 3-4 tbsp maida
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  • Mash potatoes and mix in corn kernels, chopped coriander, mint leaves, capsicum, grated cheese, green chopped chillies, chilli powder, cumin powder, pepper powder, 2 tbsp maida, 2 tbsp corn flour and salt to the bowl.
  • Make small balls out of this mixture.
  • Make a paste of the remaining maida and corn flour separately in a bowl. It should not be too thick or too runny.
  • Spread breadcrumbs in a plate.
  • Dip each ball of the mixture in the paste, roll it in breadcrumbs and fry till golden brown.
  • Serve with coconut chutney and some red chilli garlic chutney.
