This year a pandal in Kolkata, the Sreebhumi Sporting Club, has recreated the Mahishmati palace from the film Baahubali. It is being touted as the most expensive pandal of the year and is a hot favourite among pandal hoppers in Kolkata.

The Deshopriyo Park pandal in Kolkata is among the more creative ones this year with its theme of Wat Rong Khun, Thailand's White Temple in Chiang Rai.
The idols inside also stay true to theme.
