What will TVS's new bike look like?

August 20, 2015 17:44 IST

To be launched in early 2016, TVS is planning to introduce a new 125cc motorcycle as part of its new product strategy.

The new 125cc motorcycle will be launched with the 125cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine producing 10.8bhp and 10.8Nm of maximum torque.

A commuter bike, the enw TVS will be placed below the Pheonix, which has had an update recently.

The new 125cc bike will have front disc and rear drum brakes and is likely to be priced at Rs 62,000 (on-road, Mumbai) with styling similar to that of the Star City+.

As Star has become a strong brand for TVS, the company could introduce the Star 125 or some other similar product with a new brand name like Stryker 125.

TVS K03/Drake will also be launched next year and it will be powered by a new engine developed under the TVS-BMW agreement. This will be the most powerful TVS bike to hit the roads by early 2016. TVS has reached the final stage of testing for this bike in Germany, at BMW's testing facility.
