And they, sure as hell, going to get your attention...

Homegrown two-wheeler manufacturer, Bajaj Auto, announced to launch 6 new motorcycles in the next six months, out of which, the upcoming Pulsar line-up has already been unveiled. The future portfolio of the brand will include four new models including supersport-styled Pulsar 200SS and 400SS, adventure bike Pulsar 200AS and the new Pulsar 150.

Now, new reports suggest that the launch of these models will start March and the 200SS can be the first motorcycle to enter the market, followed by the 200AS.

A peek into what Bajaj lovers and sportbike enthusiasts in India have in store for them.

The next flagship model of Bajaj Auto, Pulsar 200SS, shares platform with their current flagship model, Pulsar 200NS. It also gets the same 199.5cc, liquid-cooled, 4-valve engine with triple-spark technology and rest of the mechanical equipments from the 200NS. However, the 200SS has received an all-new super sport styling, which was unveiled with the Pulsar 400SS at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo.

It has a full body fairing with twin projector headlights, LED day running lights and a clear visor. Along with the fuel tank, the rear panels of the bike are also new with a redesigned split pattern seat.

The analog-digital console of the bike has been taken from the 200NS, while the clip-on handlebars are new. Rear grab rails are not present on the bike and the tail lamp has been mounted on the rear fender.

Instead of using the similar underbelly exhaust, the new 200SS model gets a sporty side-slung type muffler.

The engine specifications of the upcoming Bajaj Pulsar 200SS will remain almost unchanged and the motor will deliver around 23.2bhp of maximum power and a peak torque of 18.3bhp.

Wheels, tyres and suspension set-up of the bike will also remain unchanged and it will be equipped with the same dual disc braking system. However, the new machine might get ABS as an optional feature.

The bike is expected to be priced around Rs 1.3 lakh.

The upcoming Bajaj Pulsar 200AS is also based on the Pulsar 200NS. In fact it is just like a semi-faired version of the bike. The bike shares all the engineering with the 200SS along with the body parts.

However, it gets an aerodynamic semi-fairing at the front and an improved headlight unit with a projector lamp.

As we have mentioned above Bajaj has already unveiled the upcoming Pulsar 400SS at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo and it looks exactly similar to the 200SS, which has been described above. When launched, it will be the flagship motorcycle of the company with their most powerful and highest capacity engine.

Powering the 400SS is a new 373.2cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, which gets 4-valve and triple-spark technologies for better performance.

The upcoming Bajaj Pulsar 400SS will run on wider wheels and tyres and will get larger disc brakes than that of the 200SS. The ABS feature of the bike might also be better and can be standard for the bigger model.

Bajaj is also planning to replace the existing Pulsar 150 with a new model, based on the successful Pulsar 200NS. The upcoming motorcycle is exactly similar to its elder sibling, however, misses some of the features.

Wheels and tyres of the bike are skinnier than that of the 200NS and it gets just front petal-disc brake, instead of the dual units of the 200NS.

The new Pulsar 150 receives an advanced 150cc, air-cooled, 4-valve engine with triple-spark technology. These new updates are expected to increase the power output of the engine up to around 15.5bhp.
