Advice to self: 'Keep trying. You won't lose anything'

December 17, 2019 14:30 IST

We'd asked you, dear readers, to write a message to your 15-year-old self.
Rediff
reader Someshwar Shinde Baliram shared this message.

Someshwar Shinde BaliramThere is a proverb in Hindi: Koshish karne walon ki kabhi haar nahi hoti.

Today, you may be upset because your English communication skills are poor.

You may be struggling to speak in front of your classmates at school and in college.

My advice to you is this: Don't give up.

Whenever you feel like giving up, remember your father's words.

He would say: 'Always try to achieve your goal no matter how many times you fail.'

'If you don't try, you will be at the same place where you are (now).

'If you try and fail, you will be at the same place but you will learn so many things.

'And if you tried and succeed, you will be at a higher place and gain confidence and experience. You won't lose anything by trying.'

So, there is no need to worry about failure.

Don't stress about what people will think about you if you don't succeed. It's your battle and you have to fight here on your own.

You must never stop trying till you reach your destiny.
